Critical Mass Leadership Development Program (CMLDP)
CMLDP has 4 phases as below:
i. Organizational Skills and Orientation (“Vyavastha Spoorthy”)
ii. Program to Improve Academic Performance (“Vijaya Spoorthy”)
iii. Leadership Orientation (“Nayakatva Spoorty”)
iv. Community Awareness (“Saamajika Spoorty”)
1. Organizational Skills and Orientation (“Vyavastha Spoorthy”): For any initiative to be successful it should be supported by vibrant organization, LINC will serve such purposes.2. Program to Improve Academic Performance (“Vijaya Spoorthy”): As regards academic performance two period sessions will be taken per week. The values that are useful for improving once academic performance absorption of knowledge and grounding the knowledge in a strong intellectual framework leading to excellence in academic performance will be given in these sessions. The fear of exams will be replaced with preparedness for the exams in the motivational words of our beloved PM, “From Exam Worriers To Exam Warriors”. The experiences of great thought leaders and educators is distilled and is given in a very absorbing format through mnemonics, songs and activities. This is a very crucial part of the program and the teachers and parents start observing the pleasantly surprising improvement in the way students receive the lessons and perform at exams. This has demonstrated to a given enormous amount of good will among the community of teachers and parents which int-urn has facilitated the receiving and establishment of lead India teams in to the folds of each of these institutions
3. Leadership Orientation (“Nayakatva Spoorty”): This program will be run for the change agents in the same format of 2 sessions per week for seven weeks, instilling leadership values, being responsible, developing and working with teams, becoming part of solution rather than part of problem, spontaneity, entrepreneurship, value-based character development will be harnessed through innovative interactions including a session on self-awareness. This will put the change agents on a pedestal of accelerated learning and to become willing volunteers to share their growth and strength with their peers in their respective classes. There will be rotation of leadership teams within the LINCs over the period to encourage maximum number of students to leadership trainings.
4. Community Awareness (“Saamajika Spoorty”): This program is also given over a period of seven weeks as a last phase of CMLDP which will end much before the final examinations. In this phase the transformational journey enabled by the simple trots distilled out of the timeless wisdom which is a precious heritage of the mankind. The principles of tridharma will be demonstrated with practical guidance. Tridharma means individual dharma, family dharma and social dharma. Under the individual dharma the importance of physical health, mental health and development of healthy attitudes to sustain the growing years as glowing years. The change agents are also expected to work to bring to add value to their families not only by their individual improvement of performance but also helping their parents siblings and others in the family it is seen that the parents started respecting their children when they found that the children behavior has become very positive and constructive.
During this training students will be given customized and specific tasks to be performed during their summer vacation like, working to solve the problems in their family, local community, working for adult literacy, enrollment of dropouts, Identifying and giving necessary help to the physically challenged with the help of our volunteers. The social and emotional learning quotient will be significantly improved in this phase.
